Call Me Cindy Lou Roux
It sounds like The Kid is up from her nap and throwing bricks out of her crib, so I'll have to keep this quick, but I just wanted to say that I made some pretty kickass mac 'n cheese from scratch--my first roux!--last night and holy POOP is it good.

Wow, I'm really liking the recipe feature of your blog, since I think about food all day. This recipe is making me drool unprofessionally in my office due to nearly 40 days of self-imposed deprivation from dairy for Lent (can you believe a Cheesehead like me survived?) Looks like Sunday dinner will have the non-traditional mac n cheese accompanied by the nontraditional quart of ice cream!
